Friday then

Despite our best efforts to run like the wind, it turned out we ran more like the Griswalds trying to get into Wally World. “Sorry folks, park’s closed”. If we would not have had bags to check we would have made it. But we did, so we didn’t. Now we are hanging out for the night at some dirty Holiday Inn somewhere in LA. Our Southwest flight got delayed by 2 ½ hours and we missed the next flight by 10 minutes. Ouch. The word from Southwest’s captain was that the delay was caused by Jorge Arbusto’s security detail at Vegas or LAX, we did not really understand, but clearly it was his fault. Anyhoo, it looks like we can get on Friday’s flight, so that’s the plan. That should put us in Bangkok Saturday afternoon, U.S. time.

Yeah, our flight was supposed to leave sacto 2 hours ago, but we're still here. Southwest is trying to hook us up but there is not much they can do. Every flight to LAX is packed and delayed. So if we are going to make our plane to Thailand we will have about an hour to pick up our bags and get to the next terminal once we get to LAX. We don't think that is possible in this day and age, but we'll see. Good thing we run like the wind.

The Day Before

Hi everyone. The internet's newest bloggers here. It's the day before we leave for Thailand to pick up our daughter, Kylie Che Ellermeyer, and we decided to create this site to keep everyone posted. We will post as often as we can, including pictures, maybe some video. We are trying to gear up for about 24 hours worth of air travel from Sacto to Bangkok and that is about as fun as it gets, as we all know.
