Big day! Kylie escaped from the cell block. We have her back at the hotel. This seems to mean that we are now responsible for everything. I was kind of hoping that she would be able to you know, run errands and stuff, but that does not seem to be the case. Oh well. One of the care takers from the Red Cross went with us to the hospital to get her medical clearence, and that went just fine. Except that Kylie does not like riding in cars. Hopefully she likes riding in airplanes.
So now she is ours for the remainder of our stay in Thailand. We have some appointments with her in the middle of next week and then we come home. Even though we have not been able to see much of this city (and it does not really look like we are going to be able to), we can't wait to get home.
In other news, Christina got her to smile and I was able to document it. Twice! So quite a day.

Looks like you have won her over now.
Actually that was pretty fast. She is still beautiful even when she smiles, but it seem it should be against the law anywhere in the world to surgically attach plastic keys to a babies hand.
Now the real fun begins. We probably will get only one or two more blogs from you guys now, you will be so busy. Walks, lunch, diapers, water,
walks, dinner, diapers, cranky, sleep walks, diapers, ... and it goes on and on. But they are the greatest walks, dinners etc., etc., you guys have ever had.
Congratulations guys - you're officially parents :)! We have a little friend for Kylie to meet when she gets home. Have fun on the plane ride home... that could be interesting :)
Love, Dave, Amanda & Megan
Good job capturing that smile. Daddy job number one complete..."take pictures of mommy and baby." Can't wait to hear how everything at the hotel. Yikes about the car ride...was that her first time in a car? Maybe she'll be so frightened on the airplane she'll just sleep the whole way home.
